Positivity pear crochet pattern

Hi 👋🏻👋🏻

Welcome back to the Manatee Squares blog and my second free crochet pattern.

These little guys are meant to be quick, simple makes, so nothing tricky, just good ol' amigurumi.

With that in mind, I'll keep this post quick and to the point, please find the pattern for the positivity pear below. I hope his little face keeps you feeling good.

As usual you can do what you like with your finished pear, but please don't recreate the pattern and please credit me in your makes so other people can make their own. I'd love to see them all so give me a tag, @manatee_squares.

Enjoy!

Supplies.

Light green yarn.

Dark green yarn.

Black yarn scrap.

2 x safety eyes.

Stuffing.

Notes.

This pattern is written in US crochet terms.

The number in brackets at the end of each round indicates the total number of stitches.

You can use whatever method you like to start your amigurumi, I prefer to chain 2 and work into the first stitch but if you like a magic circle you go right ahead.

I used cotton DK yarn and a 4mm hook for my big pear, and acrylic DK and a 3mm hook for the mini pear. You can use whatever yarn you have to hand, I'd suggest sizing down your hook 0.5mm - 1.0mm from the recommended size to ensure your stitches are tight. DK yarn and a 3mm hook will result in a smaller pear and chunky yarn and a 5mm hook will be slightly larger, as you can see in the picture above. But remember, all pears are beautiful.

I sometimes use a little dollop of craft glue to keep the smile in position.
